A Bigger Shop

Overnight snow had continued to fall but it was the very fine type. As a result, it blows into drifts but is not much use for making snowballs or snowpeople!

After a slow start to the day, we drove into town to stock up our larder and came away from Morrisons with a very full trolley of fresh and store items.

In addition, Christine walked down to a small knitting wool shop in the old High Street where she bought a ball of wool for her latest project - a woolly hat for Mike. Hopefully it will be finished well before the cold weather has left us! At the same time, Mike visited WHSmith for some more reading material and came back with several of the latest fiction publications.

On the way back to the marina we stopped briefly at the bridge over the canal, just to take a couple of pictures of how frozen up it is.

The rest of the day was spent safely - and warmly - tucked up inside.
